1. Peepal Tree
Botanical Name: Ficus religiosa
Common Names: Peepul, Pipal, Bodhi Vriksha, Ashwathama, Pippol, Plaksha, Pimpala, Arayal, Pippalam, Ravichettu, Aralimara, Piplo
Native to the Indian subcontinent, this tree holds a significant place in Hinduism and Buddhism. 3. Neem Tree
Botanical Name: Azadirachta indica
Common Names: Nimbay, Dhanujhada, Limba, Sengumaru, Veppai

There is a superstition among the tribal people of western ghats that the tree possesses evil; hence they don’t go near it. 8. Jamun

Common Names: Jam, Jamun, Phanir, Jaambu, Neredu, Nagai
