According to Hinduism, Aak ka Paudha is a plant that is associated with Lord Vishnu. This plant belongs to the Aslepiacea family and grows waxy flowers with five petals.

According to a study by the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Mathura, India, the leaves of Calotropis procera are a great antidote for snake bites, sinus fistula, rheumatism, mumps, burn injuries, and body pain.

Another research states that Aak ka Paudha is a very promising source of anticancerous, acaricidal, schizonticidal, anti-microbial, anthelmintic, insecticidal, anti-inflammatory, anti-diarrhoeal, larvicidal with many other beneficial properties.

A study also claims that the plant is also popular for treating rheumatism, indigestion, cold fever, ringworm of the scalp, swelling, pain, tumor, and piles. How to Grow Aak ka Paudha?

Purchase seeds from a nursery and soak them overnight. Sow them in a well-draining potting mix, water them well, and keep the pot where it gets bright and indirect light. The seeds will germinate in 3-4 weeks.

You can also grow the plant from cuttings. Snip off 4-6 inches long stem from a healthy plant and grow it directly in the pot or garden. Make sure it gets bright but indirect light.
