Miyazaki Mango Plant Information
These exotic mango varieties have a flaming red color, and their unusual appearance has earned them the name “Eggs of Sun.” The unique color is different from the yellow color of the normal mangoes. Miyazaki mangoes are graded uniquely and must weigh around 350 grams in average size and have nearly 15 percent more sugar content than other mango varieties. The mangoes can be as much as 900 grams in weight!
Before being exported to countries worldwide, the mangoes are subjected to quality assessment. Only the selected few are branded as the “Eggs of Sun,” denoting the highest quality. The variety is grown around April to August and is sold off between May and June. Warm weather, long hours of sunlight, and abundant rainfall are ideal for cultivating the costly fruit.

How to Grow Miyazaki Mango Plant?
Although they can be tricky to grow, you can grow them from the pit. Carefully scoop out the flesh and take the pit out. If you want the best quality fruits, make sure the plant get as much sunlight as possible. A minimum of 6-7 hours is must every day. Avoid growing the plants in shade as it will result in small and low quality fruits.
Soil
The Miyazaki Mango Plant can tolerate a variety of soil types. The soil pH can range from slightly acidic to slightly alkaline – 5.5 to 7.5. Amend the soil with plenty of organic matter like cow dung and vermicompost at the time of planting.
Water
These plants have some drought tolerance, but do not make the soil go dry completely. Water the plant when the topsoil feels a little dry to the touch when they are young. During fruiting, do ensure that the soil is never too soggy.

Miyazaki Mango Plant Care
Fertilizer
Applying cow dung manure every alternate month will give the plant all the boost it needs. To help it grow when it is young, feed it with a balanced liquid fertlizer, diluted to half of its strength, once in 3-4 weeks.
Pruning
Prune these plants every year or two after the tree bears fruit to keep its size manageable. Thin some canopy branches to improve air flow and allow sunlight to reach the remaining branches. Remove any dead, damaged, or diseased branches as they arise.
Pests & Diseases
Miyazaki mango plants may suffer from common insect pests, including mealybugs, aphids, and mites. Signs of infestation include tiny webs on plants, clumps of white powdery residue, and visible insects.
Treat infestations as soon as possible to prevent them from spreading to the rest of your collection. Start with the least toxic options like neem oil, progressing to more severe chemicals only if your initial efforts fail.

What is the minimum area required to grow the tree
an area consistingof 4x5x5i.e 4 feet depth and length and breadth approximately 5 ft where abundant sunlight is available is fit for this plant.The soil should be good enough mixed with dry dung and vermicompost and watering should be carried out at a medium level . That means when the top surface of the soil gets dried water the plant.atleast 6 hour of sunlight is needed.
