What is Hydrogen Peroxide?

Hydrogen peroxide or (H2O2) is a household chemical, made of hydrogen-oxygen. It has one extra molecule of oxygen that makes it a powerful oxidizer. This chemical also breaks down easily in air, water, and quite a useful cleanser by nature.

How Hydrogen Peroxide is Useful for Plants?

Hydrogen peroxide acts as an oxygen supplement for plants, due to the presence of extra oxygen molecules in the compound. This oxygen nourishes the plant and facilities growth. However, you have to use the right dose of hydrogen peroxide to keep the plant safe and healthy.

1. Clean Garden Pots

Use diluted hydrogen peroxide to sanitize and clean your garden pots. This powerful compound will easily remove dirt,  stubborn white marks, and kill the germs present on the pot.

2. Protect Hydroponic Plants

Hydroponic plants need clean, oxygen-rich water to grow well in glass pots. If you don’t provide sufficient oxygen, these plants may fall prey to root rot, bacteria and hinder their growth. You can flourish hydroponic plants by adding 3 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide to one liter of hydroponic water to keep them healthy.
