According to a research, Kabit Fruit contains an innumerable amount of phytochemicals such as polyphenols, vitamins, saponins, coumarins, amino acids, tri-terpenoids, phytosterols, tannins, and tyramine derivatives. Kabit Fruit has several beneficial nutritional and medicinal properties. Kabit Fruit grows best in a spot where it can get direct sunlight all day long. This will help it to achieve good height and grow plenty of fruits. Do not transplant/grow the plant at a location that gets shade for the most part of the day.

Soil

The tree is not at all fussy about the growing medium and will thrive in any type of soil. To boost its growth, add vermicompost and cow dung manure at the time of planting. After it grows up to 3-4 feet tall, it will require no maintenance at all.

Water

Harvesting Kabit Fruit

The tree starts bearing fruits after 6-8 years. In India, flowering occurs in April and May. Fruits are green at first, but their color slowly turns yellow after ripening. You can harvest the fruits in 1-2 years. The fruits fall on their own to the ground when they are fully ripe.
