Water

Mooli needs a moist growing medium to thrive well. However, ensure not to make the soil soggy. Do not let the medium go dry as well.

Temperature

Soil

Mooli ki Chutney Recipe 

  • Firstly, in a Tawa, heat 2 tsp oil and add 1 tbsp chana dal, 1 tbsp urad dal, ½ tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp coriander seeds, and three dried red chilies.
  • Saute on low to medium flame until the dal turns golden brown.
  • Add three cloves of garlic, 1-inch ginger, 1 cup radish, and ¼ tsp turmeric, and saute for a minute.
  • Lastly, add 2 tbsp water and mix well.
  • Cover and cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
  • Cool entirely and blend to a coarse paste without adding water
  • Now prepare the tempering by heating 1 tbsp oil.
  • Add ½ tsp mustard, a few curry leaves, and a pinch of hing.
  • Allow to splutter and pour the tempering over mulangi chutney.

  • Firstly, take 2 cups of grated radish in a strainer, mix salt, and leave it on rest for 20 minutes.
  • Then, squeeze the radish juice and add chili, turmeric powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder, and coriander leaves.
  • Mix well, making sure to blend the spices well with radish.
  • To make the dough, firstly, in a large mixing bowl, take 1 cup of wheat flour and add the required salt to taste.
  • Now add water in batches and knead the dough.
  • Finally, cover with a moist cloth and leave it for at least 20 minutes.
