Soil

Petha loves to thrive in well-draining, loamy, and moist soil. For a more harvest, amend the soil with plenty of organic matter and cow dung manure. 

Water

White gourds grow best in a little moist growing medium, so you have to make sure to keep the growing medium slightly moist all the time. Water it once in 2-3 days depending on the weather. Do not let the soil go dry completely as it will result in small gourds.

Also, avoid overwatering as it may cause root rot.
