1. Extract the seeds from a lemon and put it in the glass of water for about an hour to loosen up the extra pulp around them.

2. Let them dry for an hour on a paper towel and separate the extra pulp sticking on the surface of seeds with the help of a tweezer.

3. Put the seeds in the water overnight for better and faster germination.

4. The next day, fill half of the cup with potting soil, poke a hole, put the seeds inside, and cover with soil.

5. Now, mist the soil thoroughly with the help of a spray bottle.

6. You can wrap the pot with transparent plastic to help seeds to sprout faster. This is an optional step.

7. Keep the cup at any sunny windowsill. Water it only when the topsoil looks dry.

8. Once the seedlings grow a few inches, feed the plant with organic fertilizer or compost just half the strength as recommended on the label.
