Best Ways to Propagate Pothos

1. Propagating Pothos from Seeds

To grow these plants from seeds, take a medium-size pot filled with well-draining soil, and sow the seeds in it. Place the pot in a location that receives 2-3 hours of sunlight and water regularly. The seeds will germinate in one-two weeks.

2. Propagating Pothos from Cutting

If you don’t have pothos seeds, you can easily propagate this lovely houseplant from cuttings. Simply cut 4-6 inches long stems from the existing plant and plant in soil. New roots will start appearing in one-two weeks and you will have a well-grown plant in three months.

Although tricky, growing money plants in water is possible. Take a glass jar, fill it with chlorine-free water, and add three-four drops of balanced liquid fertilizer and plant the stem cuttings. Change the water every week and the cuttings will form roots in 2-3 weeks.
