Bhindi Ki Sabzi
Bhindi, popularly known as ‘Lady Finger’ and ‘Okra’ due to its particular and unique shape, is one of the favorite vegetables in India. It belongs to Malvaceae (Hibiscus or Mallow family) and can be easily cultivated throughout the year. ‘Bhindi Masala,’ ‘Stuffed Bhindi,’ and ‘Bhindi Sambar’ are some of the famous food recipes in India.

Choosing a Pot for Growing Okra
For growing bhindi pick a container that’s 10-14 inches wide and deep. You can go for any material you like.
How To Grow Lady Fingers In Containers?
If you want to know How to Grow Bhindi in India, then it is a really simple affair! Plant its seeds in summer in a well-draining potting mix. Sow 2-3 okra seeds 1/2 to 1 inch deep in each pot.

Location / Sunlight
Okra loves to be in light so ensure it gets a minimum of 5-6 hours of direct sun for the best harvest. Avoid growing it in shades because it will produce fewer okras per plant.
Soil
Pick a loamy, crumbly, and well-draining growing medium. Amend it with plenty of organic matter and vermicompost. You can also add cow manure to provide an additional supply of nutrients.
