Bottle Palm Tree Information?
This palm tree has a swollen and thick trunk that resembles a bottle. It can achieve a height of 6-12 feet, depending on the growing conditions. With long pinnate leaves and a bulbous trunk, it is one of the best ornamental plants you can grow for sure!
How to Grow Bottle Palm Plant?
The best bet is to get a well-grown plant from a nursery and then transplant it into the garden. You can also grow it in a container, however, you will have a use a really big one.
Growing Requirements of Bottle Palm
Sunlight
Bottle palm does best in full sunlight, so make sure to locate it at a place that gets direct light for the most part of the day. It won’t mind staying in a bit of shade but the growth won’t be as good.
Watering
Water it regularly at the initial stages – water the base deeply and thoroughly whenever the topsoil feels dry to touch. Once the plant establishes itself, it will take care of the watering on its own.
Soil
It grows best in well-draining and loose soil amended with ample potassium. However, it will do just as fine in regular garden soil.
Climate
The tree belongs to tropical areas, so it can easily thrive in the climate of India. However, it is not cold hardy, so protect this plant from extreme cold weather below 5 C.

You can feed it with a balanced liquid fertilizer, once in 4-6 weeks when the plant is young. After it grows 3-5 feet tall, it will take care of its own.
