Buxus Plant is primarily grown in temperate and cool regions of India, such as Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, and the Himalayan foothills. How to Propagate Buxus Plant?

To propagate Buxus Plant , you have a few options. Here are three common methods:

Stem Cuttings

Take 4-6 inch cuttings from healthy, non-flowering stems of an established Buxus Plant during the late spring or early summer.
Remove the lower leaves from the cuttings, leaving a few sets of leaves at the top.
Dip the cut end of the stem in a rooting hormone powder or gel to promote root development (optional but recommended).
Plant the Buxus Plant cuttings in a well-draining potting mix or a mixture of perlite and peat moss.
Water the cuttings thoroughly and place a clear plastic bag or a plastic dome over them to create a humid environment.
Keep the Buxus Plant cuttings in a warm and bright location, but out of direct sunlight.
Mist the cuttings periodically to maintain humidity and water them when the top inch of the soil feels dry.
After a few weeks to a few months, the cuttings should develop roots. You can gently tug on the cuttings to check for resistance, which indicates root growth.

Layering

Select a low-growing, flexible stem from the parent Buxus Plant .
Bury a section of the stem under the soil in a suitable location in the garden, leaving the tip exposed.

Sunlight
